Pontiac
October 2023 - May 2024
Overview
I like cars. The "Pontiac" as I call it, was a Black 2006 G6 that served as both my main car and project car for a little while. The Pontiac taught me many basic skills on how to service, inspect, and maintain various mechanical and electrical components. I had actually owned two, but my original Blue G6 had broken down due to rust. To that point, much of my effort on this new one had focused on rust prevention. However, I eventually scrapped this car due to a worn shift cable, which could not be replaced (GM Part was obsolete) in addition to its aging components and other problems. There's no replacement project car (though I plan to in the future) since my focus has shifted to schoolwork and having a reliable car for the time being. I still miss this project though, because it was definitely one of my most fun projects and I learned a lot from it.
